The Tiki Bar and Other Local Businesses Get Acclaim in New York Post's Online Edition, August 25, 2009

Reporter Jennifer Caeser of nypost.com writes an article devoted to some of Solomons must-see attractions called, "Song of Solomons." She first dives into talking about the "watering hole" known as the Tiki Bar and describes how the area "feels a whole lot more like Margaritaville than Southern Maryland." Caeser also describes how the potency of Tiki Bar's specialty drinks and the "comfortable mix of locals (who have a distinct, Cajun-like accent that is unlike anything you'll ever hear in the rest of the state) and visitors" give the Tiki Bar its friendly, yet laid back type of feel - all of which goes hand-in-hand with the tropical-island atmosphere the Tiki Bar also creates. (We'd like to add that just as we like to offer a great mix of drinks, we also like to provide for a great mix of customers!)

Caeser moves on to other great Solomons (and Prince Frederick) attractions such as the Calvert Marine Museum, Bunky's Charter Boats, Sail Solomons, Annmarie Garden Sculpture Park & Arts Center, the Frying Pan, and Vera's White Sands Beach Club. Caeser touches on just some of the many wonderful attractions we have to offer here in Solomons, Maryland. From the attractions she was able to visit, Caeser is quick to pick up on the island's unique charm as she states in her article "that all this contributes to making the island feel less like a destination and more like an undiscovered treasure." Caeser has it right-- Solomons Island is quite the treasure chest filled with lots of treasures for tourists to find and experience. For the locals, these treasures are timeless!
